I’ve been eyeing my non-stick Teflon frying pans lately and noticed they’re starting to scratch and peel and I’ve got to ask myself, “We’re are those little flecks on non-stick stuff going?” The dishwasher? In my food? Teflon is perfluorooctanoic acid (or PFOA) is toxic and doesn’t break down in the environment.
Today I saw a new non-stick 9″ sauté frying pan from a company called OrGreenic that uses natural ceramic coating. Ever see ceramic knives? They are the sharpest in the world so they must be hella tough.
I’m going to order this non-stick frying pan and check it out. I hope to see a complete set of pots and pans on store shelves soon because my sauce pots are flaking, too.
