I’ve had my Netflix account since July 2004. I wouldn’t be without it. I initially signed up for the 3 DVD’s out at a time plan and had that for years. When instant movie streaming came out, I spent $99 on a Roku player. After a few years I downgraded my account to one movie out at a time because Netflix was adding more instant play movies and I was watching more of them than the DVDs.
In February of 2011, the wireless part of the Roku stopped functioning, but the Ethernet connection was still working. So I put the old Roku in the grandkids’ bedroom and bought a new Rolu XD for only $69.99 after a $10 off special Roku was having at the time.
I wouldn’t be without Netflix or Roku. Who needs cable with movie channels? Seriously. I have DISH and haven’t paid for premium movie channels for about 8 years. Why should I when I can watch them on Netflix Instant Watch?
You can also watch instantly without a Roku if you have select Netflix-ready devices like gaming consoles, Blue-ray players, certain HD TVs, DVR’s, mobile devices and home theater systems.

I like netflix better. I think they are a better bang for the buck and I like they are going to clean up once they move to all streaming and away from the mailing dvds.
@Matt, if they go to all streaming, that’s going to leave a lot of ppl without. There are still ppl on dial-up and for many who do have broadband, not everyone has the higher speeds. I just hope that ISPs don’t start metering data transfer. That would totally suck.
